Nicholas L. Ottaviano, Esq.
Nick Ottaviano was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He received his B.A. and Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, where he graduated in the top third of his law school class, clerked for several prominent Gainesville attorneys and completed an internship with the State Attorney’s office.
Since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989, Nick has spent his entire career as a trial and litigation attorney in the Tampa Bay area and has tried dozens of jury and non-jury trials to conclusion in state and federal court, including those involving criminal felony charges and serious bodily injury claims. Prior to joining Florin Roebig, Nick spent several years practicing insurance defense, complex commercial litigation and representing employers in discrimination, Fair Labor Standards Act and Family Medical Leave Act claims. Nick now practices primarily in the areas of personal injury and employment discrimination.
Nick has been active in several civic groups, is a Past-President of the Kiwanis Club of Palm Harbor and has served as a pro bono attorney for the Pinellas - Pasco Guardian Ad Litem program. He has served as a scoring and presiding judge at national trial team competitions, currently serves as Co-Chair of the Sixth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee 6 C, is former Co-Chair of Grievance Committee 6 B and is an Adjunct Professor at Stetson College of Law, has been a volunteer speaker for Law Week and is a contributing author to The West Pasco Press on topics such as personal injury, insurance and civil procedure. Nick is a member of the Clearwater Bar Association and the West Pasco Bar Association. In addition to the Florida Bar, Nick is a member of the U.S District Court for the Middle District of Florida and United States 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Nick’s hobbies include biking, running and writing. He is married and has two children.
